Halo Infinite combat pass progression is challenge-based, not XP-based
Halo Infinite players will progress the Halo Infinite Battle Die down via in-game challenges rather than XP.
In a nip before today, 343 industries community manager John Junyszek said that playing and winning Halo Infinite matches will offer challenges, "which will help players progress direct the Fight Fling." That means "no per-match XP at launch," merely that players are "still always progressing through challenges and therefore the [combat pass on]."
Hey Nick - acting and winning matches will be challenges, which will help players advancement through the Battle Pass. Even though this means no per-match XP at launch, you're noneffervescent always progressing done challenges and therefore the BP. We'll update the blog to clarify 👌August 27, 2021
That had some players wondering what would happen if they ran out of regular challenges to complete. In response, Junszek said that the recent technical test had had an government issue that caused a few players to complete completely the available challenges. 343's actual launch plans, notwithstandin, "spell non 'infinite', mean it's highly difficult to run out [of] day-to-day challenges. I won't say 'impossible', because thither are some grinders out there, merely I'd be impressed."
In the about Holocene epoch Inside Infinite blog post, released earlier nowadays, head of design Jerry Cook explained many of the errors that crept into the technical test, including failing to murder challenges that couldn't be completed in bot-only matches. That shouldn't be a problem when the campaign and multiplayer launch on the Halo Infinite release date of December 8. 343 too confirmed that the take of challenges over Xp is that players "leave always be earning forward motion in your Struggle Pass through playing and winning matches."
Some players appear interested about the use of challenges rather than XP, but IT's worth noting that Junyszek says there won't be per-oppose XP "at launch." That could mean that 343 will consider changing the system later along, but that's likely to depend on player feedback later plunge.
